When to contact us?
In case of home and hospital birth
At the moment the birth starts (broken water, first contractions), we request that you contact us between 07.00 and 22.00 hours. This rule applies to both hospital and home births. Our staff will immediately reserve a maternity nurse for you.
In case of birthassistance
In the case of a home birth, the midwife will let you know when the maternity nurse should be notified. The midwife can see right away how far along you are in the birthing process. You are, of course, entitled to your own opinion, and if you feel that you need more support, you can tell the midwife to contact BabyCare earlier than usual to ask the maternity nurse to come. These hours will not be taken off the fixed number of hours of maternity care.
When you give childbirth without a medical indication in hospital Tergooi our maternity nurse can also assist your midwife there. Your midwife will indicate when the maternity nurse should come. The maternity nurse will then come with you to your house to give you further maternity care.
In case of hospital birth
If you have given birth at a hospital and have been informed of the date of your return home, please inform BabyCare immediately. We will make sure that the maternity nurse is at your home at a set time upon your return.
